What is Étude Engineering? |
Étude Engineering is about engaging all students in the act of making for themselves. In the current culture of our country, everyone is dependent on other makers, but students are instilled with the ideas of being makers for themselves. 3D printing, programming, Computer Aided Design, and manufacturing by hand are the core skills that make up the Étude Engineering experience.

What do Étude Engineers do? |
Étude Engineers create projects that are based on real world problems. Projects are embedded in skill development and have end products in mind from the beginning. Students apply skills directly to their project and tinker with them on their own terms as well. Students gain skills by experience and advance those skills in projects such as the Portable Shelter Project, Lending Pantry Project, the Sea Perch, FIRST Lego League robotics, and a multitude of other opportunities. Projects are often driven by student interest and investigation. Some projects develop from professional models that inspire students to take ideas a step further than they have observed. In other words, it would be easier to list what Étude Engineers do not do.
